Christmas Eve is a day of hope and anticipation,
But also a day of tradition.
As the clock strikes nine,
Sleigh bells can be heard from the house,
And a knock comes upon our front door.
Santa Claus is here, just like every other year.
He has on his bright red suit, and I hear a cheery, “Ho, Ho, Ho.”
I can tells it is Grandpa underneath that suit,
But play along with the act just like every other year.
