Biography of D.L. Lang
D.L. Lang of Vallejo, CA, has published eight full length poetry collections, including 2016’s Poet Loiterer which Kirkus Reviews described as containing “Free-spirited ideals couched in fairly infectious rhymes.” She also released her debut spoken word album entitled Happy Accidents in 2015. Her poems have been published in the Benicia Herald and the Jewish Journal.
Lang has won awards at area Bay Area county fairs including Best of Show in Poetry in 2015, and Reserve Best of Show in 2016 at the Solano County Fair, and a Silver Award at the 2017 Alameda County Fair.
She is a member of Marin Poetry Center and Academy of American Poets. Lang was a featured performer at Benicia First Tuesday Poets, Marin Poetry Center Traveling Show, and the Vallejo Man March in 2016. She is a regular performer at Poetry by the Bay since 2015.
Lang holds a B.A. in Film & Video Studies with a minor in Judaic Studies from the University of Oklahoma and an A.S. in General Studies from Northern Oklahoma College.
