whatever you encounter on your path, Dan, i sincerely hope you find peace within yourself. Once you find that peace, people will identify that, gravitate toward it, and grow from your example.

Tell u what, I know you probably won't want me to comment since I'm a female but ok, just a short one. I've read some of your poetry and I thought that you have great potential and I love the fact that you celebrate your life by writing. You have a wonderful personality, as shown in the poetry you write and I certainly look forward to more of them. By the way, I am currently studying literature for the 1st year but I'm already in love with it.

    Hi Dan,
you are really a talented poet, your poems are filled with emotions, emotions that a lot of poeple in our age feel (I'm elder than you with 2 years) . you should continue writing, and you have absolutely all the right to be proud of your amazing work. I hope life will turn out right for you.

Your bio. is very interesting Dan. Being a parent (my oldest it one year younger than you) I really empathize with your situation. Life must be challenging right now for you and your parents. (It really is difficult when we feel our kids are entering a life that we know will be so much more difficult for them) ....even though I know...it's not a choice. Good luck to you Dan. I hope life starts looking up for you! You've been through so much already, it can only look up from here right? Take care. Sincerely, Mary

Best Poem of Dan Brown

Lost in a world, that scares me to death,
Lost in a crowd, I'm losing my breath.
Lost as a boy, lost as a man,
I need to grow up, don't think I can.

Lost as a person, can't find my way.
Lost in life, every day.
Lost in worry, who am I?
All my life, I've lived a lie.

Lost to kindness, lost to love,
Lost in a sky, like a new-born dove.
Lost in thought, which I shouldn't do,
It winds me up, I can’t get through.

Lost to comfort, all kind words,
Lost to advice, it isn't heard.
Lost to those who really care,
All these people, always ...

Big, Fat, Dirty Secret

I try to find a mirror.
I want to look at myself.
I need to feel disgusted and repulsed.
I need to remind myself what a fat, ugly, worthless
person I am, and that I don’t deserve happiness.
I can’t find one.
I threw them all out,
because I couldn’t bear to look at myself.
I couldn’t bear to keep feeling disgusted and repulsed.
