They Told Me I Wasn'T Allowed
They told me I wasn't allowed to fly anymore,
But I didn't listen.
I wanted to soar above everyone else,
I wanted to see things from a different view.
They said it was wrong to fly high,
They said I had to see it their way.
But I didn't listen,
I wanted to worship what I believed in,
I wanted to live my own life.
They said no,
They said it wasn't in the book.
I spoke up.
They chained me down.
