Darin Bolvin Poems
Courier Of Gray Hairs
How can it be that the mightiest of men may be felled by a heavy heart... There's no way to thwart the inescapable burden of despair... This merchant of sorrow, the conveyor of sleepless nights; Courier of gray hairs... It resides in the darkest of lairs, the cavern in the chest, this heavy heart, empty of jest...
Ashes To Ashes
Away I walk, into the wild blue yonder... A ghost of my former self, my life torn asunder... Do those that greet me as a passerby, sit and wonder where I'm going or even why? I do not pretend to see what my eyes cannot...
Where do I go... What can I say, It's been a pleasant charade.
There's no key in the world to unlock my mind No shrink to help be unseen, what you may find
When it is my time to go, Let none shed a tear. Let all laugh and show no fear, But as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
Tabula Rasa; A better phrase, there can not be. Drained of all emotion, neither here nor there... Too weak to be sentient, self-aware... Am I here? And are you there? Life isn't fair, this much is true... but it's a bit of overkill to do as you do. The time for 'Ever Afters' is all but through... alas, in my weakened state, you still do as you do. I long for the warmth of joy once again... these cold hands aching, happiness fluttering, away in the wind. Are you there? Am I here? Oh, to once again feel fear...
Mind Of A Madman
_FALL INTO DEPRESSION_ 1. Come my friends and enter my mind, search deep the annals of my time, be sure to leave nothing behind. Theres no where to run, no way to escape. Come my friends...I invite you to feel the agony of having your mind raped. A constant state of delusion, mixed with inescapable confusion, my cortex forming past illusions, my body afflicted with psycho-somatic contusions. Come my friends....we are at the end of the ride. Remember always to never give into your obsessions, and never to forget the unlearned lessons....
When it is my time to go,
Let none shed a tear.
Let all laugh and show no fear,
But as I walk through the valley of the shadow of death
Let me in peace, let go, my last breath.
Rejoice of my life and times
From my humble beginnings
Until the day I died.
I know I have cheated, stole, and lied;
