A haven for wet wildlife
Within our pond there’s load’s
Lots of newts and tadpoles
And many ugly toads

We hadn’t a garage when I was a lad
Our motorbikes stood in the yard
Repairs were done down the back alley
And for grease often used plain white lard

The waitress asked “ready to order”
I said “I’d like that with a please”
A sarcastic please was included
To go with my two fresh cream tea’s

Should there be a rule
To decide by the few
How man should survive
And what job he should do

I’ve misplaced my little brother
We were playing in the sand
He said that I should cover him
A game he’d clearly planned

Black cloak and curly wig
With many piles of paperwork
Defending Mr. Big
