Strong in scent
Though how withered it looks.

Me and the boys
Brought bitter liquor
From the blood bank
Yet it tasted

Only yesterday I have gone
Through darkened portals
Of your love- whatever you call it:
Guilt, shame, deception;

I remember a friend:
Her ways, her warmth, her smile
Crouching through the overhanging sleeves
Of a torn-out, withered school uniform.

I bid thee farewell
Not by choice,
But for need.
Taking memories away
