davis served in the u.s. army; he visited spain, germany, switzerland, france, and was last assigned to ft. bragg, n.c. as a photojournalist. davis is a graduate of csus. he earned a ba in journalism and history. davis has hiked mt. whitney 3x. he has three daughters, and is a testicular cancer survivor.
