A prolific poet who is transforming himself in ideas and forms. Not one for the long poem, he keeps to
shorter poems that make the reader really think about the meaning. Has a deep knowledge of cricket and writes very good poems about the sport, but not too many. In fact, Doug has a wide and comprehensive number of topics to write about.

B: Xxxxxxv: Out Of Mockery

Out of their mockers
they made gauche players
and charged their own mockery
and their mockers'.

Young One Kim

Laughing stock Edmund Spenser,
1552 to 99 (9's as good as 'nime')
changed words for rhyme
('transferred' e.g. became 'transfard')
(Did he have 'heard' go 'hard'?)

In the spirit of him,
I change 'name' to 'nim'
for rhyme with dim,
limb, slim, pseudonym,
Ibrahim and Young One Kim.
