How do we look at it? Breivik showed much inhumanity in his heart and mind by killing more than 80 young people in that island in Norway. And he sued Norway for inhuman treatment for putting him in isolation, and he won in the name of Human Rights Convention!

Thanks for your response, Graham Thomson! I have just recently realized that Poemhunter's page for quotations is a great menu to come across with good messages to inspire.

Love your quotations - an effective riposte to our darkening world. You are an angel on the side of light and revelation. An insipired poet.

Between The Rich And The Poor

Who draws the gap between people?
They call them rich, they call them poor
The rich squander in wealth and abundance
The poor wonder what to eat next time.

Who allows injustice as iron fists
Smashing down the humble dignity
Of the weak, elevating the powerful
To decide what for the poor is best?

Who wakes up in the middle of the night
Feeling the grumbling hungry tummy
Over an open roof and empty plates?
Who orders trips to paradise during holidays
Hoarding bank shares and silver and gold?

Renewal

Renewed from hatred
that strangulates the flow of love.

Renewed from anger
that bulldozes a mountain of understanding.

Renewed from pain
that shatters the windows of tomorrows.
