I found my way across the sea
Where I found fire and I found death
Where I found friends who wouldn't quit

Upon the hill, upon the glen
Where paths pass by, all those who fell
And now here lie, resting deep
Neath this grass, beneath my feet

Upon this spot on starry night, I rest and wait in my latter years
For an angel throng, bewinged, in sight, in veils, and drowned in tears
Who've each one come to see, a play of woe, of hopes and fears
Of a life laid bare, of a life set free and of all whom I hold dear
...

Lost in our embrace
We dance away the night
Where lullabies play
And echo through
...

As day and night, together shall meet
Upon the dusk, the day complete
I sat and pondered, weak and weary
Upon the dead, upon the dreary
...

Fairies and elves and gnomes by the score
Live in the shadows, in their silent secret world
Spending their time, living their lives
At peace with the world, its beauty, sublime
...

Having been drug through this long and useless life,
They're leaving at last, this world that wouldn't let them be
Please don't cry for them, please don't shed a tear,
They're on the path that leads from here to eternity
...

Life is controlled by the Gods of War
No man can escape his part in this role
The thirst for power and drive for control
Is an all consuming fire that burns in his soul
...

Winters long night, gives way to dawn
The sky's clear, the snow melts and the rivers rush on
The long cold nights of this winters malaise
Give way to new life in natures landscape
...

On a lone branch,
Swaying in the breeze
Roosts a darkened form
