An Alpine Meadow
I looked at the picture, ALL THOSE FLOWERS!
As if stars in the midst of the day.
And looking I felt, I could be one myself.
For the fortunes of life, are scattered like seed.
There were pink ones and red ones but most were of gold,
With a sprinkle of white here and there.
Stretching their necks for a look at the world,
Like children laughing, amongst the grasses they played.
