Lucinda is a wise old poetess and she is showing her decades in gray
But she doesn't use hair dyes or wear makeup for to hide signs of ageing away
And to those who ask her what age she is I'm not telling you she will say
The years may have left me looking older but I feel healthy and okay.

The old fields by Clara hill this morning looking gray
It has been freezing overnight and rain forecast for today
Perched on bare branch hungry and cold and food hard to be found
The blackbird cannot dig for worms on earth that is frost bound.

Miliza is in her late forties and she's what you'd call a female sage
And she has more wisdom and knowledge than many who are twice her age
It has been said she is a prophet that into the future she see
And she has forecasted great changes for the World and humanity.

And he is one I readily can recall
Quiet spoken, down to earth and unassuming,
A powerful fellow over six foot tall.

In the news headlines we hear of a well known footballer's suspension rubbed out for three weeks for pushing an umpire
The powers that be must think we all are silly of such trivia one can so quickly tire
The huge coverage of sports 'twould seem a smokescreen for the major problems that we have today
And everybody not a sports fanatic despite what the sporting powerbrokers say.

And that was many, many years ago
A strapping man over six foot and sturdy
And we referred to him as Finbar O.

When one talks of county Armagh I think of John Tarrant's wife Eileen
And the wildering flowers that bloom in Spring by unpolluted stream

Though she's not one to use dyes to hide her gray
She still pushes her shopping trolley to and from the general store
And I see her often though not every day.
