I feel that I have heard enough of talk of World strife
And what I need is joy and love and peace back in my life
And I must refrain from listening to the radio news and watching T.V.
For rumours of revenge and war is worrying to me.

Like those who do say that boys will be boys
But real guns have bullets and bullets cause blood spill
And bullets can maim for life if they don't kill.

For racism in this World there should not be a place
For the crimes of one you condemn a whole race
For some to be racist any excuse they will find
Since racism is born of ignorance and ignorance is blind.

If you can help somebody out without asking for pay
Just pushing their car that wouldn't start out of the traffic's way
And not make a big deal out of it when thanks to you they say
You are building up good karma that you well may need one day.

He was a brave soldier he died young and brave
And for more than six decades he lay in his grave
And still at the dawning of each war memorial day
At his grave site a young bugler the last post does play.

There are good and bad people in every race and creed
And racism is a thing the human race does not need
Prejudice and mistrust to war only lead
And red is the colour of the blood we all bleed.

The legend of his bravery in Australia lives today
As game as Ned Kelly is a well known Aussie quote
The leader of the Kelly gang remains as one of note.

Fifteen years and homeless that does not seem right
That you are on the street at this time of the night.

Proud is a word that is so often used
And proud is a word that's too often abused
Proud of our Nation's war victories and proud of our Nation's flag
Pride as well as coming before a fall gives us the right to brag

I love the simple word hello
It always rings a joyful bell
But one of the saddest words i know
