Biography of Frank Watson

Frank Watson, also writing as 'Blue Flute, ' was born in California and now lives in New York. He likes to search for the connections between different cultures through the ways their poets express human emotions and experiences. Fascinated by language, travel, art, and history, he enjoys translating foreign poetry, currently including Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, French, Italian, and Latin. Watson's books includes Fragments, an anthology of both classic and contemporary poems, and One Hundred Leaves, a new translation of the classic Japanese poetry anthology, Hyakunin Isshu. Watson also writes original poetry, with a particular interest in micropoetry, haiku, and other visually-oriented forms. His personal poetry blog is www.followtheblueflute.com.
