Biography of G. Alexander Tanaskidis Lampousnakis

Tanaskidis George-Alexander, born in 1983 in Austin Texas and after 6 years migrated to Thessaloniki, Greece. Owner of the Ayn Rand Political Studies diploma in Aynn Rand Irvin California University. He is a student in the American Journalism's University of Thessaloniki. Lately he was awarded with full scholarship of the Liverpool Laureate University to follow the Hyper Computing Behavior and Sociology School.

He has written poems in Greek, English, German, French, Italian and Turkish language. Also, novels, histrionic plays and songs in mother tongue.
He is a journalist in the magazines '18-24', 'SUNDAY',
'U-think' and the e-magazines 'TURN' and 'Poets.org'.


August 2000: He was awarded the First commendation for his participation to the Pan-Hellenic Students' Poetry Contest under the Sponsorship of the (W.A.A.C) World-wide Academy of Artists and Civilization of U.S.A.

August 2001- August 2002: He participated in the International Poetic Contest of the Dun Laoghaire Library/ Rathdown County council of Dublin/ Ireland, with three poems written in the Ancient English language and one in French and received the first time the 17th International Thesis and the second August the 10th Interntional Thesis.

November 2003: He was awarded First Prize with a Silver Medal for his poem referring to the Centennial of the Greek Martial Aviation. The November of the same year, in the 5th International panorama of Independent Film-makers he was awarded with a commemorative diploma for his entry with a short cut documentary.

May 2004: He was included in the Hellenic Poetry Festival and he also participated in the program of the First Young Painting Fair of Thessaloniki with 11 paintings.

October 2004: He was selected from ESU (European Students' Union) and the Social Workers Organisation to participate in the International Translating Association BABELS for the 3rd European Social Forum in London, England.

February 2005: He received his Silver Bowl and the Bronze Medallion for the 3rd International Prize Award in Coronado Spring Resort in Orlando, Fl. U.S.A. from the International Library of Poetry in the Spring Convention of Poetry for his participation in the International Poetic Collection
'Eternal Portraits of 2004-2005'.

March 2005: He was included in the Special Encyclopedia of the North Greece's Poets and Litterateurs with awarded poems for the Centenial Publication dedicated to the most famous Poets.

May 2005: Boston. He participated as an interpreter (English, German and French) in the I.S.T. (International Socialistic Turn) of the Global Youth and participated in several international congresses for the next 3 months all around the world with AIDS GLOBAL Organisation promoting with Oxfam and Amnesty Internationl the New Project 'Make Poverty History'.

January 2006: He received the Honor Diploma for the 4th International Thesis for the 'Political Influence in UN' Entry test from the International Humanitarian Organisation ATHGO.

May 2006: He was an Interpreter with Ecologists in Athens for the 4th European Social Forum and after participated with BABELS in the European Socialists Convention in Athens.

August 2006 - February 2007: For 6 months he was a Theater Drama Teacher in The Waldorf Schule in Berlin with a Program of the International Volunteer Society Programs.

November 2006 - December 2006: He travelled to the Brussels, Poland, Amsterdam and Maastricht, Copenhagen, Sweden and Finland to promote his International Project for the 'Architecture of the Ancient Greek Alphabet' with which he participated in Nobel Challenge Stockholm Award 2006 Congress in Stockholm, representing the only and one participation of Greece with the support of the Foreign Office and Educational Departments of Greek Universities.

April 2007: He was selected from the EcoGREENS to participate in the European Meeting for the Migrants Future in EU which was organised from ARCI Cultural Organisation in Chietti, Provincia d' Abruzzo and 4 more European Organisations for the Migrants Institution and Support in EU.

May 2007: He participated in the International Program of Kenya and Mozambique 'Migrants move towards' in Kenya and Fez Marocco as a selected interpreter from the World Social Forum Commitee.

June - September 2007: He participated in a full scholarship program in Izmir, Turkey sponsored by the Izmir Municipallity and the Izmir Fair to enrole in an educating team for poor suburbs and peninsulas.

November 2007: He moved again to Chietti as a selected greek represent from the EcoGREENS to participate in the European Meeting for the Migrants Future in EU which was organised from ARCI Cultural Organisation in Provincia d' Abruzzo and 4 more European Organisations for the Migrants Institution and Support in EU.

December 2007: He received the title of 'Poet of Merit 2007' in Brussels from ACODIA and Cooperators Organisation and under the sponsorship of the European Literalistic Research Institute of France.

February 2008: For last time he went back to Chietti to participate in the Congress of the International Migrants Institute of Amsterdam, and was awrded the Second prize for his services.

April 2008: He visited Copenhagen in order to participate in an Alliance of the European Students Comittee for the Program of the London 2012 Candidacy for the Olympic Games.

June 2008: Moved to Chietti and Rome to participate in the EU elections of the 'Best Civil's Representation Forum 2008' organised by ARCHI and Fondazione di Vittorio.
