Biography of George Bernard Hough
Attended St. Peters infants and juniors secondary modern school in Leigh Lancashire
Then to Leigh Parish Church senior school.
Served apprenticeship at De-Havilland Aircraft Company first the training school at Lostock and then Electronics at Farnworth, Bolton.
On reaching 21 spent three years from 1958 with the RAF on GCA Ground Radar stationed in Nicosia, Cyprus.
When demobbed married Sylvia Lord from Rochdale had one son Jason who married Hazel I now have two beautiful grandaughters Emmie and Katie.
On demob worked for Crypton equipment, Robophone (one of the first answerphone companies) , Television Applications (Ampex 1' video machines) , A.M. Lock of Oldham working in industrial electronics, then International Computers in Manchester doing main frame computer installation programming and servicing, then was manager at the University of Lancaster Media Department until retirement.
I am now the DJ for our local music society, give talks to local societies on music and poetry, have stood in the county council elections and help my party at election times.
