You Held Me Tight
I remember, in my childhood,
The little nest you used to make
With your arms, in a way to protect,
In such a way you made me feel good.
I remember you as my best friend,
My best shield, my best confident.
Sometimes, much, much later,
You became gentler and closer.
I remember when, with a touch of anger,
You told me to be aware of strangers.
You said only you can make me discover
All the pleasures I can get out ever.
I remember the slight caresses,
As well as all the lovely kisses
You had strewn on all my cheeks
