The Babysitters Poem
Today I left some dishes dirty, the bed I made at 3.30. The nappies soaked a little longer, as the odour grew a little stronger. The crumbs we spilt the day before are starring at me from the floor. The fingerprints there on the wall, Will probably be there till next fall.
i can see whats happening, but they dont have a clue! they'll fall in love and here's the bottom line, our trio's down to two!
pain, pain, why do you haunt my dreams? illusion, illusion, is nothing what it seems? tell me, tell me, does the ends justify the means? and please do tell me,
There is a great deal of depression that has overtaken my soul, It floods deep within, into every inch that makes me whole. I wonder and worry of thought throughout the day, What is to come, to my dismay.
life, life, life, not a bit of strife. the sun in the day, the moon at night.
Chorus: we'll soar like an eagle, we'll run like the wind, we'll swim like the dolphins in the dim-litted sea, yes you and me we are free. the iron chains are broken my spirit is free,
love is everlasting, like a flowing stream. if you let it grow, slowly it will gleam.
life, life, life,
not a bit of strife.
the sun in the day,
the moon at night.
the wonderful feeling,
of evening light.
the sand at my toes,
the wind in my hair.
the blossoms at my cheeks,
