hi my name is kainalu...uhmm....I am doing a oral inter. in my speech class in the Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus and and i love your poem on logic and faith..its just that to use your poem i need background infomation. Just like when you were born or where you grew up in. What made you write this what was in your mind at the time...is that date of feb 24 the day you made that poem or is it like your birthday or something....hoping to hear from you...thank you.

A Place

Today I went to a place so familiar
It felt like I’d been there a thousand odd times
The same creek that flowed through the camp of my childhood
Fell into my path with no reasons or rhymes
Today I was with you, if only for a moment
If only because I was caught off my guard
The same creek we swam in, the smell of the water
The plants and the rocks and the current we scarred
Skipping stones there today, I felt you behind me
