Today shall be a happy day
Because the Lord has done a favor
To His own dear child who'd lost the way;
He's remembered all his woes and sent him relief

I hope to be great some day
And I should hope that God's way that chose
Shall as well my zeal sustain;
And though powers of dark do starkly oppose,
