I spied the Nebula Pencil
with linear shape wooden burled
evoking writing utensil.

whose radiant nebula essence
resembles pool aquamarine.

against the inky black covering
within ‘Little Fox' constellation
of Vulpecula designation,

What's going on in stellar skies
perchance eludes our earthly eyes
or mortal minds to e'er discern
regardless how we strain and yearn

A galaxy lensed with a prolix name
shows as three within the frame,
the third distorted in center of view
like bridge twixt the other two.

The whole of a journey still to be traveled
is much like a novel begun
with threads of the story not yet unraveled
and windings of plot to be spun.
