Hazel gives her all with her every word. Honesty, life's experiences and pain are expressed so beautifully in each write. My favourite is Butterfly Dance which I have framed. How amazing it is to feel as though you know someone simply through their words and their comments. Cheers Hazel

About Hazel what should i say softness in feelings expression n her melody when she writes it seems each n every words are coming out directly from her heart. i do remember when she was new for PH i advised her not to bother for likes or comment if her write is not going to heart any one. now i can say with firm faith she has touched a level and has her own identity. one of the prominent poetess who writes on tragedy love affection n very sober. why not i should say the tragedy queen of poetry of this era else this site. may God bless her with a long joyful life with sound health n mind.my regards to her will b always till i m here.

I just came across Hazel in an email from my friend...he had visited her poems before and liked them. I felt compelled to come, and I fell in love with Hazel's poetry...the first line pulls you in to hold you there and then once it ends keeps you sitting there wanting more! Especially her titles make me want to read ALL of them...and when I have time I will :)

Hazel Durham is one of favorite poets. I like her poems because she has a real sense of poetry. She is not artificial. She exposes her heart in her poems, not mere wit.

Hazel Durham is a poet with passion for realistic poetry and she considers human traits to be a motivating factor that spells out the need for penning down pieces on various themes with restricted diversity. She is a poet with transparent thoughts pertaining to remote and recent past and the ease with which she narrates her experiences is quite appreciable. Most of her poems vie with one another to excel in poetic splendour decided by diction, rhythm and apt devices. I wish Ms Hazel all the very best ahead in this forum.

Black And White

White dazzles my inner divide,
Black thrown in with my unruly side,
My parents wave me a lingering goodbye,
They have always nurtured my childlike soul,
As I try to fly from my warm nest,
To accomplish and try to be the best,
In a world full of colour so bold,
I'm painted black and white,
Standing out for all the wrong reasons,
I dare to fight,
I always daydream in multicolour scenes of joy,
Living is a struggle with silent screams of turmoil,
Stirring the concoction to the boil,
As i listen to remarks that stick permanently,
I try and ...

The White Piano

A white piano was your mother's gift to you,
Shining, glistening, a symbol of hope and joy, you never knew,
Your life without your source and your father who didn't want to know, of course,
Your mother so delicate and fragile, couldn't last the extra mile,
Norma Jeane shy and alone, without a home,
You lived in the shadows as you chased the sun,
A photographer captured, a butterfly spirit full of fun and so rare,
Encouraging words, gave you the heart to dare.
