Requiem For A Dream

Requiem for a dream
by sound so sweet
dreams of escape lay at its feet
by meaning so morbid
a solemn chant of repose
a dirge of feeling
a mass of death
for the dead unliving
to be laid down
in silent dreams
as hearts unbeating
shrivel and crumble
time sings
and beats on
forever

Quick As Lightning

My breath quickens,
My heart pounds,
I stalk my prey,
with lighting fast bounds.

Fear haunts,
and slows them down,
As my sword is drawn.
Thin as paper,
Tough as steel,
how it wheels in for the kill.
Plunging through,
Tearing flesh,
without a sound,
the meat is fresh.
