As I sit and ponder this
The sun sets oe'r the Rideau
Ducks with their young set out oe'r the river
In the gloaming in the gloaming in the pink of dusk
The colour of pinking the onset of evening
Losing the day the pain the feeling
The gloamng the loathing what is it to I
It is nothing to the peace of the pink of the evening

The silence of evening the peace of the thought
That today is over I've got through the thought
I've survived twenty four and I can do that again
I can be strong and I can get control
O f the life that bestowed me from ...
