a poet should be judged not on his or her personel life they should be judged on the quality of there poetry so i have judged Herbert Nehrlich poetry and
in herberts poetry i have found beauty, sadness, laughter, and sometimes
politics and i give it the thumbs up, or the thumbs down, but as a poet i have to
put him right up there with the best otherwise i would become a liar and not
    be true to myself
This comment is describing Herbert on my opinion of his work and his ability
has positioned him very high on the world rankings of poets on quality not
quanity but you must agree it is not easy to have written and published such a huge quantity of work and i must say he has quite a number of poems published on the web and in various magazines he has an ability on things related to medicine he has a gift for writing poetry on such things
i have no problem addressing Herbert Nehrlich as a fellow poet and friend

    With a warmth

Oh, I see. That's different. Do take care, then.

Gina, it was a matter of a mentally disturbed person whom I may have treated ijn the past. Maybe without much success. Did you ever see the movie What about Bob?
    Thanks for your concern.
    Best

    Afternoon, H,
In connection with your comment on the 'patient' namely, a woman whose offensive comment you removed yesterday: rise above it. You're better than her, aren't you?

    Hi everyone:
I am leaving this comment here as an example of how a mentally disturbed person who is currently out of the hospital again, can access this website and actually leave comments. As the comment is removed, she will post it again.
Sometimes they don't take their medication and that is bad for society.

Herbert, thank you for the holiday cocktail recipe. I found it amusing and craving. Originally set to song on my latest CD. It is not a 'Golden Hair' by any means. Mix in a little finger style guitar, backing string section, woodwinds and vocals. Blend to a desired thickness.Close your eyes and be submerged in musical colors with a pallete of notes. I appreciate your comments and welcome them with optimism. Best Wishes...................................

Well it is about a poet in the grocery store who happens to be at checkout #5. Who has ran into a bit of trouble and he or she was thinking about jailhouse damnation and didn't really want to write a poem about that so really the only good thing in front of him was his shopping list...cause nourishment is always good. That is what I got from it. Someone who is struggling to write poems but can only come up with cynical works that befoul the mountains and mist. That is why I liked it cause I am in the same situation and I can really relate.

.....When I'M Sixty-Four?

I hope your hands
will always be for
me to hold.
And, if they are
a trifle sweaty,
would you mind
to overlook
this sign of
rampant joy?

I hope your eyes
will always be for
me to love.
And, if they shed
a few shy tears,
so would you mind
I kissed them all away?

I hope your ears
will always be for
my own words.
And if they're sparse
at times or casual
would you mind
me whispering
sweet nothings -
all day and night?

I hope your smile
will always be
just waiting
to shine on me

God Says

'Twas early morning at the Holy Vatican,
the Pope was making rounds of his small kingdom
Most of the rooms were lavishly appointed
with oriental rugs on all the floors and walls,
and golden trinkets for few eyes to see.

The smell of freshly roasted coffee from the kitchen,
and many cooks in culinary mode,
they stepped through solid portals now, with fourteen locks,
