Iquo Umoh Poems
This is my adventure As I traverse the rocky hills
To Love Again?
Where is justice? Where is truth? Where is equity, In the face of adversity?
Sweat pouring down from her face With the sun shinning in full glare
Give A Chance.
Give Life a chance to live everyday Give hope a chance to believe while you pray
There Is Hope
If ever you face a plight Try not to loose sight On the one who at time right Will make your future bright
Death On A Stroll
Death takes a stroll And the bell chimes As a soul in passing Makes its phase a closing
Too Close For Comfort
In my bemusement of life Looking at mans strife And listening to hearts conversations A question arises in time
Time flows into the timeless orbit of eternity I am enveloped by eternity Timeless bits of time is lived Limitless I am but yet to
Listen in the still of the night To Him that has great might For He has an immense foresight For your life to bring delight
Now Here It Is
Point blank, I can't run from it; Glaring at my face each day, The reality that I have matured, Though within I still feel a child.
I Have Learnt
I have learnt that to say few words is wise, To hide your originality is discrete, To preserve your integrity is honorable And to speak the truth is golden.
Dear child within me, You were conceived, As tiny as you were, You grew into a living being.
Her Name Is Love
Her name is love. I have never seen her, I have never met her, Neither have I spoken to her,
Silence Becomes Us
Very many words are spoken in this world so little time to say them all.. or to retrieve them back. Like the wind they are dispersed throughout the earth
Death On A Stroll
Death takes a stroll
And the bell chimes
As a soul in passing
Makes its phase a closing
Life ends so briefly
A decade, a century
The years may be
Yet death takes its stroll
