Ethereal Beauty

Absorbed into a serene slumber,
the Angel rests her tired soul.
Eyes closed, deep breaths rising and falling in her chest,
She wanders further into the lucid forest,
Her spirit serving as Her guide to the heavens.
I reach out- a gently trembling hand seeking Her silky flesh.
With a pause, hesitant, my fingers glide over Her back,
each stroke bringing another step forward to bliss.
Beauty with such purity is a rare sight in this world-
Love manifested into human form, perhaps.
Do I, mere shameful mortal I am, deserve to be graced with Her ...

Wash away the filth and grime;
the darkness that has reigned is cleansed,
swept away by simple words.
Oh, how language has such a hold on the human soul-
for words can inspire beautiful phrases, induce a warming state of blissful euphoria,
or invoke the fear of a million hearts screaming agonies to a despairing rhythm.
