The Red Apple
The parrot pecked on the little Red apple,
As he wondered on, how tasted the sugar of maple?
He thought if it would as precious and sweet,
But was sure, its taste would make him tweet.
Swallowed the apple, the little Green parrot,
Years old, yet smaller than a ferret.
He flew as high as he could, and again, perched
On a tree branch and for another Red apple, he solemnly searched.
