I'm married - a grandmother - I love irony and satire in poetry. I've been writing for about ten years - I've performed my poetry in pubs, at concerts, on buses, to friends - foes - I love challenges in writing - many lemons
have come by me - I've tried to turn them into creative lem
ade - I'm working on expanding language as much as I can -an
interest in American poetry is burgeoning.I love Richard Wilbur - his 'Love calls us to the things of this world'
still inspires and thrills me.

Clenched jaw and heart I rattle down the dumb street. Neighbours fetch letters, smooth pat doggy heads
Lately The Moon
Lately the moon travels with Venus The night sky opens with a whoosh like a clerical umbrella of strategically placed stars.
Clenched jaw and heart
I rattle down the dumb street.
Neighbours fetch letters,
smooth pat doggy heads
play their hoses on wilting flowers
while laughing and yelling at their kids.
I consider the flow of ordinary things;
tomorrow, a certainy of frenzy
issue from a hundred canine throats.
