Long ago, tea was
Strained through moss,
Dark green fingered
Beards soaking rain
In arbor mist that
Drank of sea blood and bark

Learning to drink before loving,
Running before sleeping,
Living before trying

Entwined on top of each other,
Bodies stacked to heaven,
Stairways of bones, blending
Handrails of hope
Through the storms
