While part of me foresees near-future global integrations
Another part fears endless wars and hatred between nations
And while, on one hand, I truly enjoy the changing seasons
I also whine and whimper about them for millions of reasons
...

I wonder where it's hazier:
Outside in the gloomy mist,
Or in my heart, where the knowledge eats at me
That our days are counted
...

We're born with 'possessing' as our aim
Because we were given a bodily frame
Which we've come to cherish and adore
As if that's who we are, and nothing more
...

My spirit touched the wind today
As I enjoyed the delight of my sight
A trio of merry leaves swirled down
And laid by my feet ever so light
...

I've come to the conclusion
That 'I' may be an illusion
Because all there is to see
Is not entirely me
...

Although we have a tendency
To consider only the extraordinary
As miracles to be stored
We should all realize by now
...

Give the gift of love, because the world needs it
Give the gift of peace: you'll find it in your heart
Give the gift of support, because someone deserves it
Give the gift of knowledge, because you're smart
...

Hello, my peaceful right hemisphere,
I've come to visit you again, my dear
After a day of measuring in endless trance
Ensuring ongoing improvement and excellence

is where we are
from day to day
when we struggle and strive
and get confronted with challenges
...

Relationships are illusions
There's no telling how long they'll last
Some can linger for quite some time
And others just end so fast
