If ever told within my Life,
A Poet I would be,
I’d laugh with disbelief and cry
“It could not happen to me.”

Headlights below cars do shine
From the car following behind,
On roads wet with morning rain,
For the traffic dost flow slow again.

I transfix my gaze on your bright face
And wish to meet you so,
Your light doth shine from out this place
To whom I do not know.
...

The dawn doth break across the sky
With colours all to see.
The sun doth shine on all the world,
The day doth start for me.
...

When you awake this morning,
Take your head from off your bed,
Will you think of me, My Darling?
Will you clear me from your head?
...

When Life no longer has a meaning,
When I cannot aspire to what HE’s made,
When I do not look in awe at this World,
I know I must end this tirade.
...

If I toss a coin into the air
To determine my future action,
The result of which I should beware,
For it may not bring satisfaction.
...

It’s done! ! It’s done! ! I’m glad it’s done,
“What’s that” I hear you say,
My Tax Return is finally done,
Hurrah! ! Hurrah! ! Hurray.

Rat-a-tat-tat, Rat-a-tat-tat,
There’s someone at my door,
Rat-a-tat-tat, Rat-a-tat-tat,
Why this sudden encore?

The spray of bullets hit the wall,
It missed him by a mile,
Lucky he was not so tall,
But, it wiped away his smile.
