Ode' To Smiles
The word smiles being so long; that's just keen;
Look between the two S's; there is a mile seen;
Grinning from ear to ear; a mile; at least a smile;
You can go from one to many in just a little while;
Always have a make believe gift smile in a pocket;
Give one; watch their smile take off like a rocket;
I'm one to tell a clean joke at the drop of ones hat;
If one doesn't drop; I'll drop mine; How about that;
Anything to put a cheerful smile on a gloomy face;
That old lifeless frown; with a smile please replace;
Watch how quick one's countenance ...
One With God
Slipping silently down the Suwannee’s edge,
Listening to flowing waters give their pledge,
As they swiftly carry earths excess to the sea,
Where hot sun awaits to set the purified free.
Envisioning the rivers strong yet gentle spirit,
Aware of its determination, I openly cheer it,
My praise to the Creator ring loud and clear,
As I feel His awesome presence drawing near.
