I just started dabbling in poetry. I don't know why it has taken me so many years to get to this place. I haven't read a lot of poetry either. I will love the critque, good or bad, don't try to be nice. It won't help me. :) Thanks for reading.

Scorpio From the deep, dark, waters comes a blinding light
Oh lover, please wake up, I need you I'm in pain and falling to pieces I don't ask that you put me back
Pick up the microphone, feel the cord Bend your head Is it nerves inside that you’re listening to Are you telling them to be still
It must be something I’m always alone Love is all around But it never finds me
Can we pretend? Pretend to be in love. I can do that. Can you? What would happen, I wonder. There is a line between pretending and reality

I don’t want to really love you.
I hate real feelings.
They interfere with my dreams.
