Suicide Survival

You hear it time and time again
Survivors of suicide attempts say
The first thing they feel after they try
Is immediate and overwhelming regret
Life is a gift
They say
Cherish each and every day
And take no breath for granted
And know that there are people
Who care enough to worry
Every day
That wonder if when the phone is ringing
If you're still alive
So why then do I not feel that way?
Why is the only regret I have
Is regret that I did not succeed?

were my last moments

In Her Eyes

Her laughing eyes shone bright
Tears falling to the ground
