Turning disillusioned memories
into poisons bittersweet wine

Darkness’s shadows fall over me in ghostly disguise
In exhaustion I close my blinded eyes
Mind’s light flashes photos of life gone by
Even in sleep there is no where to hide

Here I stand before you
With only my image to show
Do you think you recognize me
As someone who you truly want to know

I must have heard it in a song
A melody so sweet
I must have felt it in the breeze
As the golden leaves fell at my feet

Before you ascended from GOD'S arms on Christmas Eve
HE kissed your forehead and HIS wisdom was sealed permanently
Then in a thunderous whisper that vibrated through eternity
HE spoke go MY child and feed the spiritually in need
