And start its rolling, rolling

This feeling you and I call 'love'
is not that which I thought it was.
A clever comment from a friend
Now has me questioning all earth's (wo) men.

A reluctant tear streams from my eye
As you dissapear again from my side.

What is a balloon but a useless piece of rubber after it's let out everything-all its air?
Red rubber wilts, shriveled and empty, once more a simple slave to gravity's law.
It shivers in the wind,
Remembering how that master once ruled its world, moving it this way and that;

Strange how endings come and go.
Then come again just one last time.
Before 'goodbye' I did not know
We need a reason for each rhyme.

Stark desert filled with sand,
Not hollow nor pregnant but flat,
You lie in the sun hotly and most alone.
