Kayla Jarnac Poems
I Have Walked... (8-17-04)
I have walked into the ocean and realized the depth of time. I have walked among the clockwork
Clouds move through the skies, Changing their shapes all the time, Pictures up so high.
Summer Nights (2-3-05)
Summer nights, the warm, thick air, a little humid, but not too much,
Wolves In The Wind (5-29-03)
The wind is like a wolf. It howls at the windows, and scratches at the door with dead branches
My Room (11-25-03)
A wall to the north, this is my Deepest thoughts and dreams. A wall to the south, this is my Feet, running through life, providing steam.
Stay With Me-(2-22-05)
Sharp; Poking, prodding, layer by layer beneath my skin;
eyes to See what is revealed, ears to Listen to the truth,
First, The loudness is rising, growing boisterous, I shut my ears to it
Storms bring warm, wet oceans, under his joyful morning laugh. Teach us to grow
The blood flows down our writsts and your minty kisses pacify me I can see your face all through the night
Much like a tissue soaks up blood, the darkness spreads and seeps. A black blanket covers my mind, As I gradually grow numb,
Your Creation (5/13/05)
Your body is your masterpiece: Skin is the canvas, Blood is the paint. A knife is your paintbrush,
Straight Shot- straight throught the heart, straight through the soul.
Life-A Metaphor (5-5-05)
life is a cold, numbened crypt. Silent and Dark; filled with Meaningless Thoughts; filled with Empty Graves.
Storms bring warm, wet oceans,
under his joyful morning laugh.
Teach us to grow
behind an imagined whisper.
Come slow, love,
We always say
they are saddest,
but they have their joy.
