The Waler's Last Stand

Free like the wind, the Walers did fly,
Our war hero horses, cantering the sky.
Across the land of Beersheba planes,
The Brumbies stood tall, their rider’s best friends.

But one by one did the Walers fall,
A symbol of freedom, a cause they fought for.
Whilst the men held guns and blades in their palms,
The horses hauled carriages, a hundred tones.
