Kelly Kurt is a famous scientist and poet of philosophical nature who writes straight from heart and each poem is a beat of literature and gem of world literature treasure. I have gone through his many poems which are not only marvellous works but also speak deeply about society, culture, nature and life's important aspects. Truth shines in his words of expression. He is very honest and also a very good reviewer and in recent past of six months he has read as many as more than 10,000 poems of different poets and he has left his noteworthy remarks which encourage many. Talent and wonderful skill make him perfect in balancing his scientific, social and literary mind for which he comes up as a nicest and noble poet in poetic community. May God bring lots of happiness for him and his family as well as let flowers blossom in his way of walking.

I agree with Kim! Kelly is a talented writer, observer, and commentator.... And also very kind! His life experience (as described in his biography) can be seen weaved throughout his poetry. His fascination (fear?) of bed bugs continue to puzzle me, though I'm grateful for pudding...a true original being he is!

When I read your bio (purely factual I'm certain, but only partly Truth) , there was an ad on your page, touting a man who had invented a system to restore your 20/20 vision. He looked like an Iowan, so I'm sure he must have been you (after all I graduated from the U of I, so I know what an Iowan looks like) . My guess, from the photo, is that you - like me - are 77 years old, but you may not have been 77 for quite as many years as I have. Six children is not the predestined number; that's seven. My wife and I have five and a dog. Obviously we all have some work to do. Bon soir.

Best Poem of Kelly Kurt

I Can Promise Only This

You can ask anything of me and I will attempt
You can tell me to smile, when grief is my shadow
You can stick me with pins and require my stillness
Take all my possessions and demand more
You can mandate the improbable and I will comply
But I can promise only this
To do my best

I Am An Echo

I am an echo
Overtaken by vibrations long ago created
Words and deeds resonated from the past
My present memory
A confluence in harmonic singularity
I am an echo
All that I am is all that I’ve been
My future self is an expectation of all echoes
Past, present and to be
