MOTHER FINALLY WENT TO SLEEP:
Mother finally went to sleep on the couch
Company sat at talk with her about spiritual
Things that troubled some souls and got on
Some nerves but then marveled everybody
Mother's face was a mirror of mine lonely
At evening shadow -her body rocked at peace
With silent night - visitors quieted down
To collect personal themes to invent myths
In dreams as deep as sleep - but retrieved…
Since daddy passed away she stays busy
Cleaning kitchen sinks ...

My note pad fills with terms of nothing
To punctuate empty discourse in culture
imprisoned in embodied ache free, virtually
Has the visitant read anything texted?
Sound is closer played in drums into ears
Has meaning parlayed to surety at both ends?
