Biography of Loretta Rowley
I've been writing since I was thirteen years old. I am now 26. I write mostly on my feelings, thoughts, emotions and life experiences. I may be young but I've experienced many things in my life. I am one who often learns from these experiencs and I believe I learn more everyday.
I am a mother, a daughter, a teacher, a lover and a friend. I value my family and my relationships with people I care about, and I am a firm believer in the golden rule. No matter how bad people may seem to treat me I try not 'stoop to their level', I believe in second chances and that people change over time.
I'm not one to judge real quick on appearances, material, or superficial things in people. I'm a strong believer in there's good and bad in everyone not matter your life style, skin color or sexual preference, we are all human and some people do more good and bad. Everyone should be looked at with a clean slate.
I am not published but one day i hope to be, just because I have a voice and sometimes what I want to say is powerful!

One Morning ~08/17/1997

Just Another Homicide ~ 12/24/1995
You look in the paper you watch the news. You think of all you had to loose. It’s just another homicide they say. Just like it’s starting off another day.
Love ~ 07/21/1995
This was the first poem I ever wrote. I was only thirteen and this was a new way to express myself. Love is like the ocean, it’s pure like the salts and minerals within. When a heart is broken all is calm in the depths of it.
Pride ~ 03/28/2004
This poem was inspired by my cousin Jen. She is one of the smartest people I know and she has made some great accomplishments and I am proud of her.
To look at a person with such pride.
It is what many yearn for in life.
To feel pride in oneself to this extent,
Is to know you've accomplished a great task.
To hold your head up to know and not just think.
It is a victorious feeling you hope comes again.
To keep the faith and never give up,
