Where The Future Has No Name

Voices from forests
move in to the cities
the Metropolitan blues
gets his voice
from strangers with
no choice
like Ghosts
they go back
just like they came
to where the future
has no name. M

for all the great forest people, C Turnbull,
G Schweinfurth and L Sarno and P Julien.

An Ear In Need

Someone asked me to laugh at the end of the line
I did for I couldn't understand why her demand was fine
she said now you stop laughing Bill for I want to die
so I told her it wasn‘t really laughing -a small lie-
I wouldn't want to bury a wounded bird alive
of course I wanted something in her to survive
; someone asked me to laugh at the end of the line
I did, for I couldn't understand why her demand was fine! M
