And my heart was beating fast, filled with pride.

Driver hums along, and sticks

A ten year old with chilled water bottles in hand
Runs as cars halt, and traffic signal turns red.
On a hot sultry day, says to the lady, it’s a good brand.
Wipes his nose with his torn shirt sleeve, as it bled.

A fine finishing school
For a refresher course

At times the only warmth, colour
Touch, contact, fragrance
Comes from a steaming
Cup of tea.
