Marcela Bosco Poems

What took me so long to realize where I stand?
I used to think my heart was complete,
All wrapped in precious paper ready to be mailed away.
I find the wrapping paper crumbled in his paper basket.
...

Like a river of sparkling waters,
a place of great height has wind.
My face cools in a refreshing manner,
and my soul warms in a quick second.
...

A feeling so strange,
but unquestionable.
Would it be appropriate to explain,
or rather unusual to portray?
...

As I run faster and faster,
speed sweeps me off my feet.
The wind penetrates my soul,
bringing a feeling of freedom.

Heart Wrapping

What took me so long to realize where I stand?
I used to think my heart was complete,
All wrapped in precious paper ready to be mailed away.
I find the wrapping paper crumbled in his paper basket.
The real gift, in the corner of the living room,
like a worthless Christmas present to a child.
Sometimes I stop to think,
I put in too much effort in all I do.
Even things that happen once in a lifetime,
Like wrapping a heart.
