That Red Moon
Dying men cry out screams of unimaginable agony
The stench of blood and sweat fill the air
Thoughts of the afterlife run through the minds
of every surviving man on the field.
Time, once again being the enemy
Dead men make their way to the Book of Life
Praying God will let them in the final gates
Whether they get sent to Heaven or to the deep depths
of Hell bother their minds and consume them.
Even though they can do nothing about it now
The souls of men who have made it to Heaven look down
Upon the ground with which they once fought and realize
