then flashbacks of joy that resounded our hearts' smiles
but not a moment to soon came the pale shades of whys
muting every hue and dimming the giggles in our lives...

lost to me is the sound of your voice
'though I've heard it a thousand times before
lost to me is the feel of your touch
'though I've felt it a hundred times and more

It's useless to stay when my heart has gone away
So senseless to try for my mind has said goodbye
Quite futile to dare as my soul has heard its call
Too easy to quit since my spirit can't resist
...

People change and lovers become estranged...
and yet the heart is slow to let go...
and the mind torments the longing soul...

Sadness reigns
With every dropp of rain
As my tears fall down
In this feeling I am drowned

When do we say that we have had enough?
How long do we brave our hearts to stay tough?

Butterflies flutter and flowers bloom
The sky is filled with fragrances that adorn the moon
The scent of your breath erases the gloom
When I am With YOU, joy comes too soon
