The Moving Son
As he moved out on his own,
she thought it would be good for him.
He might learn independence,
Maybe he would come home because he missed her.
As time moved slowly, he didn't come very often.
After five years on his own, his life was turning against him.
He thought of what he should do to get back on track.
In the back of his mind, he could think of one person.
He drove to the house, and ran inside,
The first thing he did was throw his arms around her.
And said in a whisper, 'I'm sorry mom, I love you.'
