hey melissa, sad girl is an awesome poem! it reminds me of a very good friend I have - present tense. she is finding herself in a situation where she probably feels she lost and all alone when in realtity she will always have me as a friend...but i guess thats why it fits her so well...she's sad right now. you've encouraged me to let her know that she can talk to me anytime. anyway i look forward to reading your peoms - they are very well written. thank you.

    Kenny

The Path Ahead

I'm standing at the water's edge,
In this dark and desolate place,
The moonlight causing frenzied shadows,
To dance across my face.

As I turn and look back,
At the path from which I came,
The trodden ground stares up at me,
And the view is all the same.
